BJD Character Concept: Miyu

And yet another ball-joint doll (BJD) character concept...my third one. If I don't get my Angel, I will get him first

Species: Human/ Merman

Likes: Rainy days, singing, children, Avril Lavigne's music

Dislikes: Sour food, hot weather, pollution, bad people

Background: Miyu was born into the very wealthy Takashi family, under a 'strange star' which granted him the power to transform into a 'keeper of the seas'. Or rather, a merman, to be exact.
Having discovered his powers to transform into his mer-form at a young age, he is rarely seen outdoors in order to conceal his secret. He spent most of his time playing in the family pool, which of course made him sort of lonely over time.

On his twelfth birthday, Miyu decided to be ambitious, and thus went down to the beach for an outdoor swim.
Unfortunately for him, this causes his secret to be discovered by Akura Morita, who was then making her way to his party upon invitation.
Instead of exposing him, however, Akura vows to protect Miyu and keep his secret safe. It was then the two formed a friendship, where Miyu discovers that behind Akura's smiling face, lies a tormented background.

Some time later, Akura's parents discover Miyu's secret and plan to destroy him, on accusation of being a 'demon'.
Horrified at her parents' intentions, Akura finally snaps...

Miyu seeks out Akura after he discovers that she had been senselessly raging throughout the town, after butchering her parents in cold blood.
Upon finally confronting her at his home, Miyu watches in horror as she unreasonably slaughters his parents in front of his eyes, stating they were sinners.

Only a desperate cry from Miyu brought the girl to her senses. Without any further expression, Akura flees.
Miyu buried his parents near the beach, heavily burdened as he tried to fathom the reason behind Akura's actions.
He chooses to forgive her, knowing that she had her reasons and that there was something within her.
Vowing to find the truth, Miyu left the land to live in the sea.

Some years later, the world has grown more terrifying.
Miyu decides to return to the land for a bit, where he is reunited with Akura.
Keeping his promise from years back, Miyu starts living with Akura in her run-down apartment, where he prays for the day his dear friend will be released from her demons.
Supportive and caring, the young merman always hopes for a better day for himself and his roommates, no matter the outcome of the next.
