That insane grin. It got me hook, line, and sinker.

Best Points:

The body is really well engineered, it can hold a vast array of poses and is pretty stable. Easily one of the best bodies I have!

Worst Points:

The knees kick if they're not clicked in correctly...yes he has kicked me in the face before.

Orphicus is pretty special, he's one of only 30 dolls made, and his number is inside his headcap; 12 of 30. He also shares his body with two (eventually three) other RD heads. Initially, when I saw the teaser photos I wasn't too keen. But then Ringdoll changed the face up and took new photos and I was gone. Utterly done for. I had him on layaway the moment they released him. Ended up paying it off early because I was so keen for him.

Story universe: A Clash of Worlds

Orphicus is the archdemon of chaos. A primal deity-like being with immense power and infinite age. However his form over the past few millennia has been reduced to a somewhat pitiful state. It was after the biblical scale mass genocide that wiped out the entirety of the angels and sent the archangels into hiding that Orphicus decided he wished for an heir. No one was exactly excited or willing to go through with this so he became rather desperate - he would bow to the demands of others. This caught the attention of a demon known as Hex, a trouble maker infamous in her own right. She proposed this deal; she would give Orphicus an heir, and he would give her his sanity. A high price, but one he paid for nonetheless.

The conception of their offspring, Salmarnir was the moment the curse took effect, not that it was particularly noticeable for the first few decades. Slowly but surely, the Archdemon's sanity started to slip from his grasp and he took to recording his deeds in an effort to remind himself of all he had accomplished and leave a legacy for Salmarnir to follow. His disappearance meant he soon slipped from the minds of people and cultures and he became nothing more than a legend. A scary story to tell children. He also slipped from the mind of Salmarnir, he was no more than a rumour.

Despite all this, Hex found herself somehow caring for the old archdemon, and she kept him alive over countless centuries. It was when she met a certain Dr Kalbsfleisch that she realised she now had someone she could palm him off to. So into the basement of the mansion poor Orphicus went, and here he would stay, a perpetual, immortal lab rat for the good Doktor to play with and torture. His sanity and sight is gone, but deep within Orphicus lies a primal and unstable power, waiting to be released the moment the curse is broken.
