She's an introverted and anxious young woman from a poor cadet branch of an old noble family. Her mother was preoccupied with trying to give Judit the life she felt Judit deserved, hence the fine dress and violin lessons. Judit is so preoccupied with her inner world, creative hopes, and existential fears that she doesn't pay much attention to her own appearance though (hence the frizzy hair).

The cousin of Erzsébet and Korinna, Judit is the only daughter of their uncle. Judit's father squandered his portion of the Droga family estate on gambling debts, and her mother sacrificed everything to keep up the façade of respectability and give Judit the opportunities she felt her daughter deserved. Her father's debts kept Judit from obtaining the same quality of education, society, and life that her cousins experienced, however. Judit feels time's passing acutely, and tries to find her purpose through playing and composing music for the violin. When Judit's uncle invites her to live at the ancient family estate to help Erzsébet complete her education, Judit jumps at the opportunity. But her interest in the position is fueled by a confusing mixture of bitterness, jealousy, and desperation for love and approval.
